Hi Dani, I said "this MIGHT lead Nintendo TO CONSIDER transitioning completely to digital distribution only in their NEXT console/handheld cycle" and I specifically mentioned Nintendo and I didn't say that they will be the "first" out of the gate, who knows what other companies are thinking. going 100% digital may help Nintendo jump over the broken bridges with retailers in the US.
I also believe "untie-ing" digital content from hardware is i...
I finally played the game today, haven't finished it yet, and I can say with certainty that it's the best Sonic title since the 1st Sonic Adventure on DC. The graphics are especially amazing and the game runs silky smooth while presenting some of the best Designed levels in Sonic history, levels are quite varied and gameplay is intense and addictive. Down-siders: Difficulty level might be high for some, particularly younger players(my 7 year old son for example), and some cheaply diff...
I anticipated the success of Nintendo's digital distribution and eShop(from my own newly acquired behavior of downloading Wii U and 3DS games more often and seeing others do the same on Miiverse), but not at this huge magnitude, I believe that Nintendo's wizardry in keeping the file sizes of their games at an unbelievably small footprint combined with the timeless quality and addictiveness of their 1st party titles are the two biggest factors for this success; this might lead Nintendo...
For 300 $ mind you!
Assassin's Creed "Same Assassin Time"
CoD ghosts "Same CoD Time"
Battlefield 4 "Same Battle Time"
NBA 14 "Same NBA Time"
Yet they are exceedingly overhyped and overrated.
Maybe because Batman Origins is not coming to the "Not-So Next-Gen" SO, it does NOT need to be hyped and overrated like every other stagnant regurgitated multiplat that's coming to th...
This review and other overly negative reviews for this game are unfair given the current state of gaming, and only serve to demonstrate the obvious DOUBLE STANDARDS that are going rampant those days in review sites (Money-Fueled hype for "not-so-next-gen", considering BM AO isn't coming to the twins maybe!). If we apply the negative aspects of "more of the same" to other so-called "AAA" games we'll start to understand the big picture here(AC IV. Battlefie...
*Looks at the title
*Then looks at the name of the website!
"gAMNESIA" !!
No wonder those people "FORGOT" what it means to be a gamer.
I think every gamer has to experience this game, beside absolutely beautiful graphics, the game is supremely fun in a new, imaginative manner; it's very addictive and has fun multiplayer that I enjoy playing with my son after we finish single player sessions. The game is also, believe it, emotionally captivating in a subdued way as well.
I think the gaming "media" should give Nintendo a rest.
@LOL_WUT, I LOL'ed @ your reply, you one funny bro, I really don't care about online multiplayer except maybe only for FIFA (which I am truly a beast in, you see, football is immensely popular in parts of the world I belong to). I was merely expressing my thoughts on the suppurating out-pour of online multiplayer games that is burying well made single player games or diluting single player components of those games; not as in excuse for Ninty or other companies; in fact, I support Nin...
I was going to write a similar statement, but you said it perfectly bro. Enough with the online multiplayer being the main focus these days and enough with the "Dude'bro" games, we need deeper more fun single player and some JRPG renaissance.
This bit of news makes the earlier article about Super Mario 3D World download size being less than 2 GB(1702 MB), even more impressive.
Nintendo's wizardry is truly fascinating, they are the kings of cost-effectiveness.
I genuinely believe from everything I saw, that this will be the best Mario game to date. I wonder how Nintendo's internal development teams maintain this absolutely high level of quality throughout all those years; releasing masterpiece after masterpiece while reminding us why games are fun and why do we play them in the first place.
Please everybody, break this "trendy" Nintendo hate cycle and enjoy playing this game when it gets released next month.
Zelda overrated?! It has been around for what approaches 30 years of time while maintaining highest levels of quality, with almost every new iteration introducing different ideas and overarching themes from the dark and gloomy Majora's Mask to the brightly refreshing Wind Waker and from the above cloud island realm of Skyward S to the train-track oddities of Spirit Tracks. And when it comes to gameplay and the intricacies of human-console interface and control, you can't find a parall...
I think the original on PC is dirt cheap by now but not the Director's Cut enhanced version, which I believe is 20$, still cheaper than Wii U version, but the Gamepad control features have got me intrigued especially for this game that I am going to get it for Wii U.
Lol, this game and other mediocre games like Disney Infinity and Activi$ion's Skylanders as well as some derivative indie and mobile games get a perfect or near perfect scores while games that look fun to play and are old school in spirit and gameplay like Wonderful 101 and Sonic Lost Worlds get deliberately buried(may be because of their exclusivity to Nintendo?). This largely reflects the state of gaming media and industry these days!
Greatness as always.
I will buy it too, and reserve my judgement to then. I have been stung many times by negative or mixed reviews that swayed me from buying fun looking, well previewed games and this has been increasingly happening with games exclusive to Nintendo's platforms(I wonder if that' deliberate or premeditated?), take for example; The Wonderful 101, which is currently my game of the year, if not for the excellent demo I played on Wii U, I would NOT have bought it and effectively missed on one ...
I just agreed with your post!
